Happy Celebration May 9th 2024

How easy to forget....

WW2 and that the liberation of Europe from Fascism would not have been possible (or would have taken significantly longer with huge allied casualties) without the Russian intervention led by Marshal Zhukov. This war cost Russia around 27 million lives. Most objective military analysts agree on this conclusion and in fact the Russians were the first to enter into and liberate Berlin. My parents and grandparents were all swept into WW 2 and some of my relatives gave their lives, (grandparents also in WW1). 

Regrettably our own western leaders, in recent years, have never really acknowledged this fact publicly and most people have no idea of this sacrifice, attributing the victory to the western allied powers. After all small minds and small hearts, acting as heroes eventually burn in the trash can of history. Those whose sons and daughters died for us will always be remembered by those with honor.

So out of respect for all those that passed saving Europe from Nazism (well we thought it had gone away) we say thank you and wish you a happy hassle free celebration.
