Now that April’s there,

And whoever wakes in England

Sees, some morning, unaware,

That the lowest boughs and the 

brushwood sheaf Round the elm-

tree  bole are in tiny leaf,

While the chaffinch sings on the  

orchard bough            

In England—now!
